Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Sopu. They are meant to be clear, not to bury anything. By signing in, you agree to them.

The service

Sopu is a customer-relationship management tool for solo professionals and small teams — a calm place to track contacts, next actions, interactions, and invoices. Sopu is operated by Sopu Software (business ID: 3520778-1).

We may improve, change, or remove features over time. We will not make a change that we believe meaningfully degrades the core product without good reason.

Your account

• Sign-in is by magic link. You are responsible for the security of the email account you sign in with — anyone with access to it can access your Sopu workspace.
• You must provide an accurate email address and be old enough to enter a contract in your jurisdiction.
• One person or organisation per account, unless you are on a plan that explicitly supports multiple seats.

Acceptable use

When using Sopu, you agree not to:

• Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or use Sopu to support sending them.
• Scrape, harvest, or process personal data of third parties unlawfully — you are the controller of the contact data you put into your workspace and are responsible for having a lawful basis for it.
• Abuse, overload, probe, or attempt to break the service or its infrastructure.
• Use Sopu for anything illegal, or to harm, harass, or defraud others.
• Resell or sublicense access to Sopu without our written agreement.

Subscriptions and payment

Sopu is a paid product with a free trial. Trial length, pricing, billing cycle, and refund terms are presented to you at sign-up and at the point of purchase. When subscription billing launches, these terms will be updated with the specific commercial details; until then, trial access is provided as described at sign-up.

Your data

Your workspace contents belong to you. We do not claim ownership of them. We process them only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export your data, and you can delete your account, at any time from Settings.

Availability

We work to keep Sopu available and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may take the service down for maintenance, and we will try to minimise disruption when we do.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sopu Software is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

• You can stop using Sopu and delete your account at any time from Settings.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms — in particular the acceptable-use section — or if required by law. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to fix the problem first.
• On termination, your data is handled per the retention section of the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Finnish courts, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we will update the date above and note the change. Continued use of Sopu after a change means you accept the revised terms.
